BANROCK STATION SPARKLING CHARDONNAY
Banrock Station is an eighteen hundred hectare
property just north of Kingston-on-Murray in South Australias Riverland. The
property was originally established for grazing and cropping, but with the River Murray
forming its boundary for 12 kilometers, Banrock is even better suited to viticulture. Good
thing too. Grazing had stripped the property of vegetation, turning it into an ecological
dead zone. When the vineyards were planted a team of environmentalists was brought in to
restore the remaining sections to natural habitat.
For every bottle sold, a donation is made to the Banrock Station Wetlands Foundation Canada to support wetland conservation projects. |
