MARCUS JAMES MERLOT

Marcus James wines are classic varietals from Argentina's Mendoza region, and they epitomize the quality and value to be found in one of South America's most exciting wine producing zones.  The wines offer the best of European tradition and New World style, and are ideally suited to sharing with good friends and fine food.  And by the way, if you think Argentina is new to wine, keep in mind that it is in fact the fifth largest wine producing country in the world, and has been for several generations.

RECOMMENDATION: Marcus James Merlot definitely shines when served alongside food.  Its aroma and flavour profiles suggest diverse pairing from chicken to sausages to beer, or serve it after the meal with a selection of mellow aged cheeses.

WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS: Red fruit aromas of plums and black cherries are backed up by a subtle scent of leather.  The wine has pleasant and agreeable flavours without being overly delicate.  A clean, pleasant finish balances its medium body and characteristic soft Merlot tannins.
