RECOMMENDATION: This wine is a real crowd pleaser and goes well with a variety of richer flavoured dishes like pasta, steaks and stews.
WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS: This wine has been made to maximise the varietal characteristics of the Merlot grapes. The result is a medium bodied wine displaying lifted fruit and softness. It has been aged in oak casks for 12 months prior to blending.
TASTING NOTES: The colour is brick red with purple tinges. Plummy fruit aromas dominate with jam characters and smoky, toasty oak. A well rounded palate exhibits the varietal softness of Merlot. The finish is fresh, clean and lingering.

WINE ENTHUSIAST: 85 POINTS & BEST BUY! Aromas of sweet blueberry and cherry fruit with a hint of violets on the nose. The palate displays rich, full flavours and soft tannins from both the fruit and the oak. The wine is soft and round with a good, clean palate length. (April 2006)
