Churchill Cellars
"I drink champagne when I'm happy and when I'm sad. Sometimes I drink it when I'm alone. When I have company I consider it obligatory. I trifle with it if I'm not hungry and drink it when I am. Otherwise I never touch it - unless I'm thirsty." Madame Lilly Bollinger

Spring Things

Alpine Valley Sauvignon Blanc

This award-winning Marlborough Savvy is the perfect wine to have on hand as you welcome the first asparagus of the year. Brimming with grapefruit, gooseberry and herbs, it is refreshing all by itself and really sings with food. Try with goat cheese, grilled shrimp or Caesar Salad as well.

Chivite Gran Feudo Rosado

A perennial summer favourite, this dry Spanish rosé is built for tapas bars and outdoor dining. You’ll find terrific fruit intensity and complexity in this Garnacha (Grenache) based Rosado.  It loves to play with tomato-based dishes, grilled poultry or fish and olives. Serve well chilled.

d’Arenberg The Stump Jump Grenache, Shiraz, Mourvèdre

d’Arenberg’s winemaker, Chester Osborn, originally crafted The Stump Jump GSM for general usage and imbibing around the ‘barbie’ and casual al fresco dinning. Easy enough to drink by itself, it also matches a wide variety of weekday dinner foods like hamburgers, grilled pizza, ribs etc. Chill down just a bit before serving.

 Wente Southern Hills Cabernet Sauvignon

You’ll find $20+ worth of value here for $16.95. Complex and remarkably well balanced, Southern Hills Cab punches above its weight. There’s an undeniable Old World elegance in this medium-bodied Cab that makes it perfect to enjoy solo. Grilled steak, lamb or sausages would make excellent accompaniments.
